Your Cherrybrook Electrician
For Cherrybrook homes, End Point Electrical comes across from Terrey Hills. Most of the suburb was built from the 1980s onwards, and typical work is turning a rumpus or spare room into a media room with Sonos or Sonance audio, or pulling out ageing halogen downlights. EV chargers in double garages come up as well. Call 0478 045 154. We hold NSW contractor licence 397311C.

Cherrybrook: 1980s and 1990s homes due for a refresh
Most of Cherrybrook was built from the 1980s onwards, when estates of two-storey brick homes spread over what had been rural land. Many have more living areas than a family needs once the children are older, plus a double garage. Plenty of owners turn a spare room into a media room. That usually means a wall-mounted TV with in-ceiling speakers, with power and data behind the screen so nothing hangs down.
The lighting in these homes is often original, with rows of halogen downlights on transformers, some of which have failed or run hot in the ceiling. Replacing them with LED is a regular job, often room by room. The double garages suit an EV charger, though boards from the 1990s may be short on space once ducted air conditioning and a pool pump are counted.

Typical Jobs in Cherrybrook
What the work usually involves, how long it takes and what you are left with when we pack up.
TV and audio install
Media rooms in Cherrybrook homes with a wall-mounted TV and Sonos or Sonance speakers in the ceiling.
Most AV jobs are a TV on the wall with the cables hidden, often with a soundbar or in-ceiling speakers alongside. For whole-home audio we install Sonos or Sonance speakers room by room. Power and data go in behind the screen so nothing hangs down the wall. Before we leave, we tune the antenna or speaker settings and show you the controls.
- You end up with
- A mounted, working setup with no loose cables on show
Lighting upgrade
Halogen downlights in 1990s Cherrybrook homes swapped for LED, with the old transformers removed.
Plenty of lighting jobs start with old halogen downlights coming out in favour of LED. Others add lights to a renovated room or light a path and garden for the evenings. We agree the layout and the switching with you first, so the lights land where you need them. Then we fit them and set up dimmers in the rooms where you want softer light.
- Usual time on site
- 1 to 3 hours
- You end up with
- Working lights on the switching you asked for, with a CCEW for the installation work
Home EV charger
Chargers on Cherrybrook garage walls, after checking the 1990s board can carry the extra load.
A home EV charger usually goes on a garage or carport wall, on its own circuit from the switchboard. We check the board has capacity first and help you pick a charger that suits your car and how far you drive. If you have solar, we can set the charger up to use daytime generation. Load management on the charger helps when the board is close to its limit.
- Usual time on site
- 2 to 4 hours
- You end up with
- A tested charger on a dedicated circuit and a CCEW

“Andrew and Jake have been amazing and professional to work with. They've fixed power points and replaced light fittings at my place. I've since recommended them to both my parents and grandparents where a fuse box upgrade has been completed for my fathers place and an oven install along with lighting and ceiling fans for my grandmother. Both have had nothing but positive things to say. Would highly recommend!”

“I recently completed a major renovation on my home where we essentially rebuilt it stage by stage, eventually tripling the size of the house. Endpoint Electrical wired the entire project and were fantastic to work with from start to finish. Our build was a little unconventional compared to a standard new build, as we were living in the house the whole time. This meant the electrical work had to constantly adapt — thinking about both the present and the future, with some areas not even built yet while others were scheduled to be removed later on. Despite the challenges, the team handled everything professionally and thoughtfully. They are exceptional at what they do, very easy to communicate with, can think out of the box and all round a top blokes. I use them when ever I can and recommend to all.”

“Andy, Jake and their team were fantastic. Great communication, showed up when they said they would and with all materials there. They adapted smoothly to my atypical problems and their attention to detail was outstanding. Their work is so neat and tidy I asked them to back to tidy up a previous electrician's messy cabling. I've recommended End Point to multiple friends already and will keep coming back.”

Cherrybrook Electrician FAQs
Can you turn a spare room in my Cherrybrook home into a media room?
Yes. We plan the screen height and speaker positions with you, then run power and data behind the TV and speaker cable through the ceiling. In a two-storey home, getting cable into a downstairs room can mean working through the floor void, so we check access first. Sonos suits a simpler setup, while Sonance in-ceiling speakers give a cleaner finish.
Are the old halogen downlights in my Cherrybrook house worth replacing?
Usually. Halogens run hot and use more power than LED, and their transformers wear out over time, which is why some lights in a room may stop working. Swapping to LED fittings removes the transformers and cuts the heat in the ceiling. Most rooms can be done on one visit, and a typical lighting job takes 1 to 3 hours.
Where is the best spot for an EV charger in a Cherrybrook double garage?
Usually on the wall nearest the car's charging port when parked, so the cable reaches without stretching across the garage. Being close to the switchboard keeps the cable run shorter, which can lower the cost. We weigh both, along with where a second car might park, before mounting the charger. Installation takes 2 to 4 hours.
