Typical jobs
Typical Jobs Across the Hills District
What the work usually involves, how long it takes and what you are left with when we pack up.
Home EV charger
A home EV charger usually goes on a garage or carport wall, on its own circuit from the switchboard. We check the board has capacity first and help you pick a charger that suits your car and how far you drive. If you have solar, we can set the charger up to use daytime generation. Load management on the charger helps when the board is close to its limit.
- Usual time on site
- 2 to 4 hours
- You end up with
- A tested charger on a dedicated circuit and a CCEW
Air conditioning circuit
Most heating and cooling work starts at the switchboard. A split system or ducted unit needs its own circuit and an isolator at the outdoor unit, sized for what the system draws, and older boards often need upgrading first. We wire for brands such as Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric. Electric underfloor heating in bathrooms is another regular job.
- You end up with
- A dedicated, tested circuit for the system and a CCEW
Switchboard upgrade
The board we usually replace is an older one with ceramic fuses, or with only one or two safety switches (RCDs). It comes out and a new board goes in with circuit breakers and RCD protection on the circuits. We size it with spare room for later additions like air conditioning or an EV charger. Expect the power to be off for most of the job.
- Usual time on site
- 4 to 6 hours
- You end up with
- A labelled switchboard with tested RCD protection and a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work (CCEW)
Examples of Our Work
One renovation in Collaroy on the Northern Beaches and one new build at Wingello in the Southern Highlands. Both show how we run a job from the first layout to final testing.

Collaroy, Northern Beaches
Five-Bedroom Renovation and Full Rewire
An asbestos switchboard came out and a board designed with 30% spare capacity went in, followed by a full rewire to AS/NZS 3000:2018. The job ran six months alongside two builders.

Wingello, Southern Highlands
Ground-Up New Build Across Two Dwellings
The site had no power at all. We drew the lighting and power layouts from the architectural plans. Then we coordinated the new mains and wired the main house and granny flat over 18 months.

What Our Clients Say About End Point Electrical
5.0 from 14 Google reviews- Rated 5 out of 5
“I recently completed a major renovation on my home where we essentially rebuilt it stage by stage, eventually tripling the size of the house. Endpoint Electrical wired the entire project and were fantastic to work with from start to finish. Our build was a little unconventional compared to a standard new build, as we were living in the house the whole time. This meant the electrical work had to constantly adapt — thinking about both the present and the future, with some areas not even built yet while others were scheduled to be removed later on. Despite the challenges, the team handled everything professionally and thoughtfully. They are exceptional at what they do, very easy to communicate with, can think out of the box and all round a top blokes. I use them when ever I can and recommend to all.”

“Andrew and Jake have been amazing and professional to work with. They've fixed power points and replaced light fittings at my place. I've since recommended them to both my parents and grandparents where a fuse box upgrade has been completed for my fathers place and an oven install along with lighting and ceiling fans for my grandmother. Both have had nothing but positive things to say. Would highly recommend!”

From the get go it was so easy they looked at my property gave me a quote and the price was very reasonable. They got it done with no issues and their customer service was amazing! They updated me when I needed to be. The quality of the work was amazing! They were great blokes to deal with. If you’re looking for the best couldn’t recommend them any higher! Would also have a beer with them!”

“Andy, Jake and their team were fantastic. Great communication, showed up when they said they would and with all materials there. They adapted smoothly to my atypical problems and their attention to detail was outstanding. Their work is so neat and tidy I asked them to back to tidy up a previous electrician's messy cabling. I've recommended End Point to multiple friends already and will keep coming back.”
